Abstract
In modern industrial society, digital Process for specific areas is established and its grafting to formative work with actual products and is possible due to the development of not only designs in the Virtual Reality but also Modeling and 3D shaping. These techniques have tended to differentiate into processes suitable for each area, in addition to the development of CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Design / Computer Aided Manufacturing) technology. But potters are not recognizing design and work manufacture that use CACD (Computer Aided Ceramic Design) up to now as a practical tool. This can do that is caused in question about if complexity of system use, variety by manual processing, creativity by intuitional announcement can be defined. Neither computer offers creative idea directly nor can reappear nature form. But intuitional judgment or idea conception can be magnified through operation of effective graphic program and logical operation of data and can enable work manufacture of dimension that is different from existing manual processing way. Accordingly, a possibility of a tool that expand work area without limiting manual processing way is enlarged. If this possibility is actualized, use of digital appliance may provide effective result that is speed, correctness, variety to potter. Therefore, this research wishes to present possibility of a digital tool through effective CACD system and studio construction in ceramic art education.
