Abstract

In this paper, we exploit collaboration for feature detection to sense the presence of the signal with short processing time. This type of detection is known as a high-accuracy detection compared with energy detection. However, it exploits complicated signal processing method to detect features of the signal like carrier frequency, modulating method. In order to overcome this issue, we implement collaboration on the detection to reduce the complexity of computation when each terminal takes responsibility in calculating the desired feature of receiving signals on a sub-shifted frequency range. The results from each terminal are combined at the fusion center. The computational load is fairly distributed among terminals which leads to a reduction of the processing time.
