Abstract
The structure of Co(III) complex containing a tetradentate Me2bpb2- ligand and two pyridne ligands was determined by the X-ray diffraction method. Four N atoms of the 1,2-bis(pyridine-2-carboxamido)-4,5-dimethylbenzene (Me2bpb2-) ligand and two pyridine ligands are coordinated to the Co(III) atom with an N(py)-Co-N(py) angle of 175.97(19)o. The coordination geometry of the Co atom is octahedral(Oh) with six nitrogen atoms: four from a Me2bpb2- ligand and two from pyridine ligands. 2005
