Abstract

The structure of the tetradentate Co(III) complex was determined by the X-ray diffraction method. Four N atoms of the 1,2-bis(2-pyridine-2-carboxamido)benzene (bpb^2-) ligand and two chloro ligands are coordinated to the Co(III) atom with a Cl-Co-Cl angle of 176.18(7)°. The coordination geometry of the Co atom is distorted octahedral(Oh). 2004
