Abstract

Spherulites grow dramatically during injection molding. This work measure spherulites size and investigate crystalline growth in injection molded polypropylene(PP). The specimen has been microtomed to very thin sections. From polarized optical microscopic images, spherulites are visualized and their dimensions are measured. Moreover, the spherulite sizes were compared with the simulated temperature.
