Design of Read-out IC for Wearable Computing

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Wearable devices are mainstream in these days. Many wearable devices involve MEMS sensors, which can be exploited for detecting and recognizing user gestures. In order to initialize and acquire sensor data in restricted power and area, the efficient communication between sensor and system is necessary. Data rate from sensor plays an important role in real time systems by enhancing accuracy. In this paper, we design a read-out IC for wearable devices, which has three operating stages and small area cost. The I2C module is verified by using FPGA and fabricated using 0.35μm CMOS
technology.
