Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the reliability improvement of received signal strength indication (RSSI) received from a bluetooth beacon and reduction of distance error in indoor localization based on RSSI. It can be seen that the conventional location estimation algorithms tend to have a fairly high error rate due to the influence of large variation of the RSSI. Accordingly, we propose an improvement method that can reduce the distance error and verify the effectiveness and excellence of the proposed method through the actual measured experimental data.
