abstract = "This paper presents a method for the real-time implementation of brush stroke-based painterly rendering in a mobile environment using the General-Purpose computing on Graphics Processing Units (GPGPU). We parallelize brush search and comparison, and accelerate them using GPGPU to improve the computation time. Through this approach, a 35 times higher computational speedup was achieved for high-resolution images compared to the previous Central Processing Unit (CPU)-based painterly rendering algorithms.",
