Abstract
With the advent of the ubiquitous era, low-level data processing in multimedia services in intelligent internet computing environments, such as recognition and classification, information retrieval, and recommendation, has become an active field of research over the last decade. However, due to the limitations of low-level feature-based approaches, some researchers have tried to reduce the semantic gap using semantic web technologies between low-level features and high-level concepts. In this paper, we propose a new scheme for intelligent multimedia services. To do this, we discuss the use of knowledge for analyzing and retrieving multimedia contents semantically and user adaptive recommendation based on Semantic Web technologies that facilitate the development of domain knowledge (e.g., ontology) and rule set.
