Abstract
This paper proposes a fully soft-switched interleaved boost converter for FCEVs. In the proposed converter, a ZVT cell is proposed to provide soft-switching condition for all the semiconductor devices at both turning on and off, and hence the switching frequency can be increased, which results in high power density and fast dynamic response. Phase shedding technique is used to increase the efficiency of the converter at the light load condition. A dual loop controller with the proposed feed-forward reduces the current surge associated with the phase shedding. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the theoretical analysis.
