Abstract
An electrochemical diode made of conducting Si, a SiO2 nanolayer, and aqueous gel interfaces (SNAGI diode), is reported. The use of a hydrated SiO2 nanolayer in the structure allows for a rectification ratio higher than 3×104. The SNAGI diodes are also biocompatible, scalable, and easy to fabricate. (Figure Presented.)
