Abstract

In order to optimize the power consumption of the mobile healthcare system, we analyze entire workload of the wearable healthcare signal processing and found that computation of digital filter is one of critical function in the workload. In this paper, we present the AHB based hardware digital filter in order to accelerate the computation of digital filter in signal processing which is processed on microprocessor or digital signal processing in conventional system. We expect that accelerating the filter function enables the reduction of the operating frequency of a main processor in mobile healthcare system, decreasing the power consumption.
