Abstract

A low-complexity, frequency-offset insensitive detection for ortho-gonal modulation, using decision-aided maximum likelihood detection is derived. The proposed detection method significantly improves the performance with extremely low receiver complexity. In particular, the performance of the noncoherent maximum likelihood detection is approached, to within 1 dB, by the proposed low-complexity detection. The trade-off between receiver complexity and performance is provided for orthogonal modulation.
