Abstract
Mesoporous organosilicas based on a bridged organosilicate have been synthesized using a triblock PEO-PLGA-PEO copolymer containing a more hydrophobic poly(DL-lactic acid-co-glycolic acid) block and the structural difference between mesoporous organosilicas prepared from PEO-PLGA-PEO and PEO-PPO-PEO block templates is discussed. We conclude that the more hydrophobic PEO-PLGA-PEO triblock copolymer is more effective in incorporating organosilicate precursors into the mesoporous silica materials than the PEO-PPO-PEO triblock copolymer template.
