Abstract

This paper presents a method for long-term applications for power systems using energy storage systems (ESSs). There are several transmission & distribution long-term cycle functions that can be implemented on the power management system based on BESSs, but this paper concentrates on shaving the peak of power system. This paper mainly employs a mixed integer linear programming (MILP)-based algorithm considering multiple ESSs with different characteristics.
