Abstract
Rotating Modulation Collimators(RMC) is a remote imaging technique for visualizing orphan radiation sources. However, a reconstructed image generates artifacts, when the counts of detected photons are small. As radiation sources are often blocked or shielded in a number of practical applications, the false estimates may lead to misinterpretation and misjudgement. To solve this problem, we propose a new RMC image reconstruction algorithm using variance stabilization transform and non-local means method.
