Abstract
Adhesion mechanisms to the slider/disk interface were theoretically studied. For this purpose, the trajectory of a particle in the slider/disk interface was calculated by solving Newton's equation of motion. Results indicate that small particle of unit charge can deposit on the slider or the disk surface, depending on the polarity of the charge, and may increase contamination level in the slider/disk interface.
