Abstract

This paper provides an agent based on an ontology that helps instructors to guide the process of selecting teaching and learning strategies. We present an approach of ontology representation based on a novel architecture of agent-based simulation of teaching and learning process and propose a conceptual architecture of such system. This paper also is focused on proposing a framework of integrating domain knowledge, content knowledge, adaptation rules, and student models in a Web-based ITS. We illustrate how these techniques can be put into practice using the modern ontology development tool Protégé, and indicate future possibilities.
