Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic happened when public administrations were convinced of the need to expose their data on open data portals. However, the global emergency that COVID-19 produced in governments highlighted some shortcomings in terms of public policies and strategies related to open data, open government, and open innovation. The aim of the open government and open data in times of COVID-19 panel is to discuss experiences and the potential consequences of open government and open data exploitation to combat the pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
