Abstract
The finite element code was parallelized based on the 4-step splitting method to calculate the turbulent flow around the MIRA model. The domain decomposition method was used with the MPI library. Natural convection in a cube was solved to verify the developed parallel code and to measure the parallel performance of the code. Lastly, the flow around MIRA model was calculated using the present parallel code with 32 IBM SP processors and compared with both the experiment and the serial result based on P2/P1 finite element formulation.
