Abstract

The frequency hopping is one of the useful techniques in dealing with collisions when multiple uncoordinated systems operate in the same frequency band. Diversity in frequency domain can help to realize an efficient utilization of the channel bandwidth resources. In this paper, a frequency hopping based protocol is utilized to deploy a robust network in the presence of interferences. The performance of the system is tested in channels with rich interferences. The experiment scenario includes severe wide-band and narrow-band interference channels. The results confirm that the frequency hopping technique is proven to be one of the robust approaches when it is implemented in the severe interference environments.
