Abstract

The phase evolution of Fe2)3 powders during high-energy ball milling was investigated. The influence of ball milling on the phase transformation was systematically analyzed and discussed. The occurrence of transformation during the milling process was explained on the basis of the crystallographic concept relating to mechanical energy exerted on powders and reduced particle size.
