Abstract
This study analyzed the relationships between usage pattern of PVR's interactive functions and users' innovativeness and activeness. The surveys were conducted targeting the SkyPVR subscribers. Comparing the viewing rate of broadcasting programs and recording rate, it is noteworthy that the recording rate of drama is higher than viewing rate. But the other genres showed a relatively lower ratio in terms of recording. The relationship between innovativeness and interactive service usage is statistically significant in series recording People who have been using PVR service longer than others had the more affirmative tendency for selectivity, involvement, and control. Also, people who have heavily involved in recording, watching programs via PVR service and used PVR interactive functions such as booking programs recording, skipping advertisement showed higher satisfaction for the convenience of service. This paper extended the scope of studies on TV interactive services to the services focusing on live broadcasting channels.
