abstract = "The reliability of SiC power modules is one of the major concerns in electric vehicles (EVs) due to the relatively immature technology of SiC power devices and also harsh operating conditions in EVs. Accordingly, much research has been performed to improve the reliability of SiC power modules in aspects of power devices and power module packaging. In addition, to ensure reliability in long-term operation, the mission-profile-based reliability prediction of SiC power modules in EVs is essentially required in the EV industry. In this paper, the reliability evaluation of the mold type SiC MOSFET module for EVs, is performed by considering two mission profiles of EVs. The result of the study shows that the developed SiC MOSFET module satisfies the typical lifetime requirement in the EV industry.",
