Abstract

An Autonomous Train Control System (A T C S) is a system capable of driving by recognizing and judging the situation itself, without relying on control commands of the ground control system. For the realization of A T C S, it is necessary to implement an environmental driving recognition system to monitor the safe running environment of trains. Various sensors are required for monitoring, and power supply for sensor operation must be resolved. We analyze the electromagnetic waves used in A T C S as a method of the power supply. The electromagnetic wave source in A T C S is analyzed and the electromagnetic wave characteristics in trains and infrastructure environment are analyzed. A suitable source that can be used by a self-powered sensor is selected, and a self-powered sensor system using it is proposed and analyzed. We design and analyze the antenna, rectifier, and DC power management network for self-power sensor system that can be used in A T C S .
