title = "Simulation and Experimental Analysis of AM-Modulated Signal Backscattered by on-Board HT",
abstract = "This paper presents a novel system for electromagnetic signal information interception, utilizing a hardware Trojan (HT) embedded within a commercial printed circuit board (PCB). The HT remains inactive under normal operating conditions and activates only when intentional electromagnetic interference (IEMI) is applied externally. We model a bistatic AM-modulated signal backscattered interception system using simulation with Ansys SIwave, HFSS, and Circuit Simulator. The PCB trace line acts as an unintentional antenna (UA) for signal radiation. Based on the simulation results, the obtained experimental data was processed through LMS filtering to extract the AM-modulated backscattered signal. This result demonstrates the practical feasibility of signal interception and provides insights into evaluating electromagnetic threats in commercial electronics as a cost-effective approach.",
