Abstract

This paper proposes a new single-stage OBC compatible with both single-phase and three-phase operations. It features three interleaved Totem-pole modules on the primary side and six switches on the secondary side. The proposed topology reduces the number of secondary-side switches by half and integrates an active power decoupling (APD) system using the output capacitor and the secondary switch's converter. Furthermore, it nearly achieves full zero voltage switching (ZVS) across a wide range of battery voltages. An 11kW single-stage OBC prototype is constructed to validate the proposed topology.
