Abstract

A soft-switching high step-up DC-DC converter with single magnetic core is presented in this paper. By utilizing the leakage inductance of a transformer, power switches operate with soft-switching and reverse-recovery problem of output diodes is dramatically alleviated. The two-stage voltage doubler which is adopted at the secondary side can raise the voltage gain with a relatively low turn ratio of a transformer. Also, voltage stresses of output diodes are confined to half of the output voltage. A prototype of the proposed converter is developed, and its experimental results are presented for validation.
