Abstract

Herein, we synthesized different metal sulfide-coated iron nanoparticles and systematically investigated their reactivity and bactericidal properties. The particles showed a significantly higher reduction efficiency for trichloroethylene and lower bacterial toxicity compared to bare nanoscale iron.
