Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the directions and tasks of smart city policy research in Korea through reviewing trends of domestic and overseas smart city research. To this end, domestic and foreign documents were summarized through content analysis, text mining, and topic analysis. In the case of smart city policy research, the ambiguity of concept, the lack of theoretical basis, and the limitation of policy research topics remain as limitations. In the future, in the smart city policy research, expansion of space, consideration of dynamic policy process, data-based empirical research.
