Time-of-flight measurement using femtosecond pulses

Abstract

We exploit femtosecond pulses for time-of-flight measurement of distances. Not only long distances but also short distances less than 10 m are measured with sub-micrometer precision beyond the traditional limit of time-of-flight measurement.
