Visualization of Open Source Dynamic Simulator under Virtual World

Abstract

In this work, we introduce a method of simulating a dynamic model created based on OpenModelica, an open source, in real time and visualizing the results. To overcome the shortcomings of OpenModelica, which is difficult to simulate and visualize in real time, the dynamic model was extracted with FMI, simulated using FMPy, and then visualized in Unity. A vehicle was applied as the target of the simulator, and the vehicle's movement was visualized in real time by controlling the vehicle implemented on the simulator using input devices such as a keyboard and joystick.
